My favorite subject on this semester is "Simulations for professional practice". When I talk to my family or friends, I refer to this subject as "the dental subject" because it is a subject where we talk about procedures, surgical care, materials for dental use, etc. In this subject we had to buy the instruments and micromotors that we use in the preclinical and I also went to faculty for the first time! In the preclinical we had to do a biological preparation on an tooth and restore it with resin. First we did it with the tooth in hand and then we did it with the tooth in a typodont, which is a model of the arches with the teeth. At the end of it all, we had a practical test. On this subject I understood the importance of practicing in this carrer, so I hope to go more times next semester.

  An expert that I admire is Dra Montserrat Gutierrez Halabi. She is a dentist who works in a clinic called Clínica Gutierrez, together with her brother, Dr. Celso Gutierrez. She is a woman that I admire and that I began to follow because she is always showing clinical cases that she attends and her evolution. I find that to be a very important job because it helps other colleagues or students to understand certain things about the career. If all dentists shared their work, there could be more advances in technologies or techniques in the area. I also admire this person because she is more than a dentist. In her Instagram biography it says “Yogi, reader, plan based” and I can confirm that it is so. I like that she is a multifaceted person, that in addition to working on what she likes, she can develop her personality in other areas, because it costs me a lot.
